The partnership ministry made another venture into the Kapilvastu District to plant and develop new Churches
We  looked after  Chaunata Baptist Church with finance and  the word.
The Church faced great challenges:
The Nepal Maoists ordered  the Church to stop its activities during insurgency. The Church discontinued its weekly worship service for some months.

It restored its normal worship service  after a prolong negotiation with the insurgents. The Church began to grow. They  purchased land for the Church building.
Another problem the Church faced was: communal riot.As the people of two diiferent communities continued to kill each other in Chaunata town,
The Church suffered another setback
. Our evangelist Amar Rana fled to Butwal wtih his family, and his Church members scattered  to avoid the situation. As such, it could not hold weekly worship Service there for almost one year
.People warned us not  travel to Chaunata as it was too risky and dangerous.
Despite the  persistent problem, our help to the Church continued.
The Church restored its normal activities when the situation was put under control.
It is now growing and expanding  with eighty members

CHAUNATA  BAPTIST CHURCH,

KAPILVASDU DISTRICT, WEST NEPAL.

As per the agreement, the partnersip mininstry decided to look after the following Baptist Churches in West Nepal: Kawasoti Baptist Church. Bhairawaha Baptist Church and Chaunata Baptist Church.

Four believers came came together to establish a baptist Church at Kawasoti in Nawalparasi Diistrict. They started weekly fellowship at their homes under the leadership of Kul Bahadur Gurung who is a retired army officer.

We began to feed the Church with the words by extending financial help. We  celebrated  the Lord's supper quite a number of  times with the Church and the whole gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ was presented to the believers .

The Church continued to grow and expand. It has now its own land and building with sixty active members

Church planting program

The Church consists of  a group of people who are redeemed  by the precious  blood of  our Lord Jesus  Christ. He has passed on the authority to the Chrch to proclaim the kingdom of  God.

The  Partnership  minstry, which is working under the name, "Barnabas Project." is backed by the Church-the  Body of  Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ expresses Himself  to the People in the mission field through  His  Church.

God has empowered His Church to bring a change to the world

We  consider Bethany Baptist Church, Butwal, as the gateway to spread God's kingdom to other parts of western Nepal. It is the biggest Church in Butwal. It has three hundred members.

The Church is doing well under defferent wings: Youth fellowship, womenfellowship,Children ministry and social service to proclaim His kingdom.

Barnabas Project is venturing into various activities  through the different activities of the  Church.

Many leaders here are trained to train others in leadership, skill development, worship and Evangelism.
